Our 3-night northern route allows you to explore the spectacular seabird colonies of North Seymour and the remote, exclusive island of Genovesa. You will also visit the volcanic islet of Bartholomew and the dramatic lava formations of Sullivan Bay. This compact itinerary showcases the archipelago’s creative geological forces and its most iconic pioneer species.
AM: Arrival at Baltra Airport
Arrival at Baltra Airport and transfer in. You will have to pay your Galapagos National Park entrance fee and your luggage will be inspected.
PM: Bachas Beach
Around noon you will embark on the Archipel cruise. Your cabins will be assigned, and lunch will be served. Your afternoon excursion will be at Bachas Beach, a lovely bay with soft, white coral sand visited by sea turtles. Besides leisure time, you could visit a nearby lagoon to observe flamingos. Return onboard after about two hours.

AM: Prince Philip’s Steps (Genovesa)
Genovesa is renowned not only for its historical English name, Tower Island, but also for its extraordinary birdlife. Follow the footsteps of Prince Philip and visit one of the Galapagos’ most iconic birding sites, home to large breeding colonies of red-footed and Nazca boobies. Keep an eye out for the remarkable short-eared owl, often seen hunting on foot among the lava rocks.

PM: Darwin Bay (Genovesa)
As one of the outermost and most exclusive islands of the Galapagos, Genovesa is well worth the longer navigation. Darwin Bay lies within a flooded volcanic crater and showcases the archipelago’s incredible diversity in a compact setting. Sandy beaches, mangroves, seabirds and coastal ecosystems come together in a single, unforgettable visit.

AM: Bartholomew
This tiny volcanic islet is one of the most recently formed in the Galapagos. Walk through its dramatic landscape of spatter cones and craters, shaped by past eruptions, and admire one of the archipelago’s most iconic panoramic views. The contrast between lava formations, turquoise waters and neighbouring islands makes this visit truly unforgettable.

PM: Sullivan Bay (Santiago)
Sullivan Bay offers one of the most striking volcanic landscapes in the Galapagos. Walking across the recently solidified lava flows feels like stepping onto another planet. This pristine site provides a powerful insight into the islands’ volcanic origins and showcases the raw forces that continue to shape the archipelago.

AM: Twin Craters – El Chato Reserve (Santa Cruz)
El Chato Reserve is a protected area and official part of the Galapagos National Park. This lush highland site stretches from Cerro El Chato towards the southwestern slopes of Santa Cruz Island and is one of the best places to observe giant tortoises in their natural habitat, especially around freshwater ponds where they often gather.

Transfer out to Baltra Airport
Assisted by the naturalist guide and crew, you will be transferred by dinghy to Baltra Island. From there, you will take the airport shuttle to the terminal, where your guide will accompany you through the check-in process. You depart the Galapagos carrying unforgettable memories of a remarkable journey through the archipelago.
