Activities and Experiences During Your Cruise

The Galapagos Islands offer an extraordinary playground for exploration and wonder. Each Archipel 1 itinerary is carefully curated to bring you closer to nature — from swimming alongside sea lions to hiking across volcanic landscapes that feel otherworldly.

Discover marine life while snorkelling in crystal-clear waters, glide through hidden coves by kayak, or simply relax on deck as the islands unfold before you. Guided hikes and land excursions reveal the raw beauty and ecological diversity that make this archipelago so unique.

Some experiences depend on local conditions and are coordinated with your naturalist guide, while optional activities.

EXPERIENCIA GALÁPAGOS

Aproveche al máximo su tiempo en las Galápagos

Our active naturalist cruise programs are the most efficient way to make the most of your time in the Galapagos, combining overnight navigation with at least two guided excursions per day, sometimes even an extra one, led by top English-speaking (and Spanish) naturalist guides. Unlike island-hopping tours that lose valuable time in transfers and typically visit only one site per day, Archipel 1 reaches more exclusive destinations, shows twice as much in the same amount of time, and accesses shallow, pristine bays that larger vessels cannot enter.

Our effort to bring nature even more to life

Archipel 1 works exclusively with the best National Park–certified guides. Their inspiring explanations (in both English and Spanish) and fascinating stories about animal behavior, ecosystems, and survival strategies bring nature even more to life, but also during onboard lectures and daily briefings. Of course, you are welcome to consult your guide with personal questions or simply to share your curiosity.
Thanks to a maximum of only 16 passengers aboard M/C Archipel 1, your naturalist guide can easily respond to individual interests. Our two smaller inflatable dinghies (Zodiacs for 8 passengers each) make boarding and disembarking much faster and increase your chances of spotting wildlife during the excursions.

Cruise with complete safety to the next destination

Many areas of the Galapagos are remote and require self-sufficiency. For this reason, all crew members are trained in first aid. Your naturalist guide and the captain are prepared to handle any potential medical or other emergencies on board. The bridge maintains constant radio contact with the outside world.

Deliciosa gastronomía: déjese tentar por los sabores

Our professional chef and kitchen team will delight you with a hearty, abundant breakfast, as well as irresistible hot lunches and dinners, all served in a generous buffet style.
The galley (kitchen) will continue to surprise you with a varied menu of local and international dishes, offering at least two options (usually fish, chicken, or meat), accompanied by rice, potatoes, or pasta, and a selection of vegetables and salads.
Our food is healthy and delicious; special meals (vegetarian or other dietary requirements) are available upon prior request at no additional cost. Snacks and juices are served between meals.
